 A: No.  Perfect Rug Secret is not a sticky tape.  The fusing properties of Perfect Rug Secret are only activated by heat.

Q: Will Perfect Rug Secret damage my rug?

 A: No.  If our product is applied and maintained using our instructions, our product will even prolong the life of your rug.  Most rugs are made from wool or silk and have cotton or silk fringes.  Perfect Rug Secret is applied to the rug fringes- NOT the rug itself.  It is important that you never allow a hot iron to come directly in contact with your rug.

Q: Can I ever remove the fusing tape?

 A: Of course.  Simply follow the directions included with the product or described here.

Q: I am getting my rug professionally cleaned.  Should I remove Perfect Rug Secret before I do so?

 A: Yes.  This is to allow your rug cleaners to do their job properly.  You may re-install the fusing tape after the rug has been cleaned.  If you are considering Perfect Rug Secret for a rug that may be professionally cleaned, we recommend buying twice as much as you need.  So then after your rug has been cleaned, you can easily install a fresh new roll of Perfect Rug Secret.

Q: Is Perfect Rug Secret re-usable?

A: No.  If you ever have to remove it, you will have to re-install it with a new roll of tape.

Q:  My rug fringes kept on getting caught in the vacuum cleaner.  Will Perfect Rug Secret stop this from happening?

 A:  After installing Perfect Rug Secret, it will be unlikely that individual fringes will be caught in your vacuum cleaner.  However, you will be required to vacuum in the direction of the fringes, not against them.  DO NOT vacuum against the direction of the fringes, as it may pull off the fusing tape.
